SUGSS Website and Database Launched

Posted in work by Simon Jansen on April 18, 2008

We have just launched the Sydney Upper Gastrointestinal Surgical Society’s (SUGSS) website. While it features a basic public section, the “meat” of the website consists of an interactive, secure database which allows members of SUGSS to record their patients’ data. It is planned to incorporate advanced reporting functions and additional forms to the database.

Core features of this highly customised project are:

  • Public website using NomisPro content management system
  • Secure, SSL protected members database with individual encryption keys to ensure integrity of the submitted data
  • Ajax-based forms and dynamic page builds – the entire database interface, all content and interactive features have been implemented using Ajax
  • Contains custom-developed forums
  • Members can view and include job listings
  • Secure file transfers
  • Full administrator interface for managing members, forums, job listings and patient records
  • Installed on a dedicated server platform
